What Serany thinks about this poem
Meaning
A man meets God at a wake and shouts at him for every grave and every widow. God doesn't argue back. He pulls up a chair, says sorry, and the man ends up finding him in the people who baked and drove and turned up.
Who's it for
A family who are angry and not ready to be told it was for the best. Right where somebody died too young and nobody in the room has made their peace with it.
